They must've had an early road test car, because the shifter is 1969 vintage, and so are the valve covers. Probably was beat pretty hard by January 1970! Could explain some of the complaints they had with the car.
Also ran quite slow for a 440 Six Pack with 4-speed & 4.10 gears. Should've been an easy 13 second car!
