1971 Plymouth Roadrunner (RM23N1R)
This month I am featuring a (GY9) Tawny Gold Metallic Roadrunner with the (V8Y) Gold strobe stripe. I find this combination very tasteful and going well together. This car has the standard 383 engine and standard bench seat with Hurst pistol grip shifter. The 4-speed was optional, as a 3-speed manual was standard. This car was built at the Windsor, Ontario, Canada assembly plant and it also was sold new in Canada. Roadrunner's generally didn't have many options, and this doesn't either. It has power brakes, AM radio, and hood mounted turn signal indicators, and that's about it. Still, it's a nice example of the Rapid Transit System for 1971. (Courtesy Alan M.)
