1971 Dodge Challenger R/T (JS23N1)
This month I am featuring another member of the 1971 Scat Pack! This sharp looking Challenger R/T is covered with an extra cost "Hi-Impact" color, called Buterscotch. This color (EL5) was first introduced in mid-1969, as one of the colors on the new Six Pack Bee. It was not around for 1970, but made a return in 1971. They only made 4,630 total Challenger R/T's in 1971, making it a fairly rare model. 2,509 came with the standard 383 Magnum engine, and were sold in the USA. This model has the optional cloth and vinyl (H5XX) bucket seats, and I like the plaid pattern they used on them. This one is another fine example of why I would want to be "Dodge Material" for 1971!
