1966 Dodge Hemi Charger (XP29H6)
This month I am featuring an unmolested survivor that has been called "The World's Best Hemi." 468 Chargers came with the 426 Hemi in 1966, and only two came in this Mauve color. Galen Govier called this car "the most original car he had ever documented." It won the prestigious "Chrysler Standard of Originality" 5 star award at Carlisle in 1994. It also made the front cover the June 1994 Mopar Action Magazine. The Hemi engine added an extra $877.55 to the price tag of the new January released fastback design. This car is a time capsule and a shining example of the first generation Charger. "Join the Dodge Rebellion! Go Charger!"
